A holistic sound practitioner is a skilled professional who employs sound as a therapeutic tool for overall well-being.
Trained in various sound modalities – gongs, bowls, voice and applied somatic frequency, they blend ancient traditions with modern neuroscience.
By understanding the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit, these practitioners guide individuals through personalised sound experiences, promoting relaxation, healing, and self-discovery.
Holistic sound practitioners create a harmonious environment, leveraging sound vibrations to address physical, emotional, and spiritual imbalances, fostering a sense of wholeness and vitality in their clients.
This course is accredited by the Complimentary Medical Association and upon completion you will be able to join the CMA as a member and use the credentials MCMA after your name as well as gain professional insurance.
An Integrated Pathway into Sound, Healing & Self-Discovery
The Holistic Sound Practitioner Journey is a deeply supportive and experiential training
designed to help you discover your own unique expression within sound healing.
Each Practitioner Weekend has a primary instrument focus, while also giving you the opportunity
to explore and play with gongs, drums, bowls, and applied frequency tools throughout. Over time, your relationship with sound deepens in a way that feels embodied, confident, and authentic.
Held within a small, nurturing group setting, this pathway offers hands-on practice, guided
facilitation experience, reflection, and ongoing personal support. With encouragement and
practical immersion, each student gradually finds their own rhythm and expresasion as a practitioner.
Your Journey
- Receive healing as much as you learn to offer it
- Practise in a supportive small group environment
- Build confidence through lived experience
- Develop your own authentic relationship with sound
- Grow into a practitioner whose work reflects who they truly are
With the right support and space, your unique expression naturally emerges.
A Truly Holistic Framework
This training is rooted in a whole-person approach. Sound is explored as a modality that supports:
- Mental wellbeing – calming the mind, supporting focus, and reducing stress through resonance and rhythm
- Emotional wellbeing – creating safe spaces for release, regulation, and heart-based connection
- Physical wellbeing – understanding how vibration interacts with the nervous system, breath, and the body
- Spiritual wellbeing – deepening presence, intuition, and connection to something greater
- Integrative wellbeing – weaving together multiple instruments and approaches into cohesive sessions
- Environmental wellbeing – working consciously with space, acoustics, group energy, and the natural environment
You will learn to hold sound sessions that consider the whole human experience — body, mind,
heart, spirit, and the field around them.

Successful completion leads to professional accreditation to offer both individual and group sound healing sessions.
The Five Practitioner Weekends
Each weekend is immersive and retreat-style. All instruments are experienced throughout
the journey, with a particular focus guiding each gathering.
🌕 The Resonant Foundations – Gong Immersion I
This opening weekend establishes the foundations of therapeutic sound practice. You will explore the gong as an instrument of deep resonance, nervous system regulation, and spacious awareness. Through guided practical sessions, supported peer work, and reflective integration, you will begin developing confidence in both playing and holding space. Alongside gong work, you will experience bowls, drum, voice, and applied frequency tools — understanding how the gong sits within a wider holistic sound field. This weekend lays the energetic and professional groundwork for your journey as a practitioner.
🌌 The Expanded Resonance Weekend – Gong Immersion II
This advanced gong weekend deepens your relationship with resonance and refines your facilitation skills. The focus moves toward holding full sound journeys with clarity, safety, and intuitive flow. You will explore layering techniques, dynamic range, transitions, and group field awareness while integrating all instruments into cohesive therapeutic experiences. This weekend supports you in stepping fully into practitioner presence and leadership.
💎 Harmonic Light & Overtones – Singing Bowls Immersion
This weekend centres on the subtle and harmonic qualities of Himalayan and crystal singing bowls. You will develop sensitivity to tone, overtones, pacing, and energetic layering. Practical experience supports bowl placement, chakra-informed approaches, and understanding how bowls calm the mind and balance the body’s energetic system. Bowls are explored both independently and as part of an integrated sound journey.
🔥 Rhythm & Earth Medicine – Sacred Drum Immersion
This weekend focuses on rhythm as grounding medicine. Through frame drums and percussive sound, you will explore pulse, journey states, emotional expression, and group entrainment. Drumming builds embodiment and confidence while teaching you how rhythm weaves into broader soundscapes to support both individual and group healing processes.
⚡ Frequency & Somatic Integration – Applied Sound & Cellular Resonance
This weekend introduces tuning forks and applied frequency tools within a holistic framework. You will explore how sound interacts with the physical body, fascia, breath, and nervous system, with emphasis on safety, intention, and somatic awareness. This training supports targeted frequency work while remaining grounded in mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, integrative, and environmental wellbeing.
🎶 Additional Advanced Practice Weekends (optional)
The Sacred Voice Weekend
The voice is our most intimate instrument. This standalone advanced weekend explores toning, mantra, overtone singing, breath-led vocalisation, and intuitive expression. The focus is on liberation, confidence, and authentic resonance. This course is not required for accreditation but offers powerful expansion for practitioners wishing to deepen their energetic presence and personal expression.
The Drum Birthing
Your Drum Birthing Day is a sacred and deeply personal journey, where you craft your own shamanic drum with intention, reverence, and heart. Guided through ritual, meditation, and mindful creation, you will connect with the spirit of the drum and awaken its unique voice. By the end of the day, you will leave not only with a powerful ceremonial instrument, but with a trusted ally for your healing, journeying, and spiritual practice.
